I went to Tess because I was really looking for affordable flowers and I only needed the personal flowers and also flowers for the ceremony. My main inspiration for flowers was the green cymbidium orchid. I had met with several vendors and realized that the cymbidiums were really expensive and I might have to change my vision. Then I went to see Tess and she came in under budget and still allowed me to use the cymbidium as my main flower. I LOVED LOVED LOVED my bouquet! It was exactly what I envisioned.

I came to Tess with a simple request for an orchid/rose bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, flower girl basket and simple decorations for the ceremony and reception areas... and boy did Tess go above and beyond!!!

I loved the idea of using silk flowers for decorations. They were must less expensive than using real plants and they were very real looking. The ceremony site (Prado at Balboa), was decorated so romantically and perfectly, all at a very reasonable price. She added little details to the reception area I didn't even ask for - ribbon on the stair well, extra flowers on some of the tables, added blossoms to the center pieces... Everything was beautiful.

My bouquet was gorgeous. All the flowers were fresh and fragrant. She attended to my every request. She was so easy to work with, and had a plethora of ideas and options. She was helpful and conscience of my budget and desires.

Tess was a pleasure, and her flowers even more so.

OMG Tess is an awesome creater of the silks!!! Whew.....In 2004 she assisted me and made my wedding the "wedding of the year" and in 2008 my daughters wedding theme was "Love....in the fall" it was absolutely beautiful and still talked about.

I went to visit Tessilk Flowers in consideration for my wedding after seeing them at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Bridal Show (yes, my wife made me go). We had entered the store with a general idea of what we wanted for our recption and the church, but nothing set in stone. Upon arrival, we were greeted as soon as we walked in, and within minutes, we were sitting down looking at several books of different arangements. Tess helped guide us along our path, and her prices were incredible! Much better than I had originally expected. Now we did not go all out due to budget, but Tess assured us that it would look great.
Forward a few months to our October 3rd wedding date. Since both the wife and myself had to prepare to get married, we just kept our fingers crossed that they would be at the venues on time and have everything set up. When I arrived at the church, Tess had the place looking stunnnig. Almost as stunning as my wife to be at the time. She did not skip a single detail. I couldnt have done it better myself had I had the resources. Needless to say, the reception was the same top tier quality if not better. The center pieces were the center of attention upon arrival of the guests. Tall, colorful and classy pieces that contained the freshest of flowers. I recieved comments on the arrangements all night long and i am sure my wife did also.
As a nit picky person who did his best to stay on budget, I must say that Tessilk Flowers is the best. Both quality and price. Check them out if you have an event requiring flowers, and you will not be disappointed.

I love Tes. Seriously, this woman is amazing. She went above and beyond the day of my wedding. Without her, things could have been disastrous. She saved my cake (see cake review below), she hunted me down to give me my boquets in person and she was at the wedding site for hours making sure everything was perfect. I’m not kidding you, if I was in charge of handing out wedding-awards, I would give them all to her! Definitly my favorite vendor.

I found Tes on BI, and I just knew she was going to be my florist. We clicked at our first meeting right away. She picked up on everything I was throwing at her and was so enthused about it all. She even sent her brother to my Dad’s house two days before the wedding to cut down the bamboo in our backyard for our centerpieces (they live at opposite ends of the county). Not only did this make the centerpieces cheaper (and AWESOME), it made them that much more *mine*!! Our bouquets were more beautiful than I pictured and she even wrapped me extra plumerias for my hair. I ordered 1 bridal bouquet, 6 bridesmaid bouquets, 5 corsages, 17 centerpieces (including vases, set up and hanging of glass), one bamboo arch covered in flowers and plumerias for the cake (again, see cake review). With what Tes did that day next to what we paid for her service, I can see why she is one of San Diego’s favorite florists.

I came across Tess's website after scrambling last minute for my wedding bouquets. I went into the flower shop and she knew exactly what she was talking about. My bouquets looked amazing. It was a purple explosion just like I wanted it =) Who knew that purple carnations for my bridesmaid would be so GORGEOUS! I am extremely happy that I came across her website.

Tess is the absolute best florist/wedding florist you will find when it comes to service AND price!! I was skeptical about driving down to Chula Vista, but if you go check her out you will be handsomely rewarded!

I found her on http://bridalinsider.com (my best resource as a bride in SD), and she was the most raved about. I recommended her to my friend and she saved her $1 - 2,000 from another quote she'd gotten.

Always cheery and bubbly, she met with us about 5 times, and picks up quickly on what you like and don't like. She even tried to suggest things that would make my hubby and me both happy when we disagreed. She also advises what is in season and how to save you money, event though her prices were much lower than anyone else I found. She also has a ton of vases, etc. that you can rent or that she will just include for free sometimes. She is the easiest person to work with and never got frustrated with me (although I was so indecisive).

She also is a problem solver and says she can make just about anything because her husband can weld. I wanted a unique huppah, so I bought some silver poles (curtain rods from Ikea) and brought them to her with the prayer shawl. She totally engineered and "flowered" it, without damaging the poles or the shawl.

She can also order most anything you want from overseas if it's not available here. Tess is really fantastic and another one of favorite wedding vendors!

Nov. 3rd Wedding

I live in Michigan, and directly called to order flowers from Tessilk for my mother's birthday. They arrived today, and my mother was VERY pleased. My sister joined in the conversation and said that they were the most beautiful arrangement she's seen, took a picture, and wants to paint the arrangement as a decoration.

I called from Louisiana to order flowers for my mom's 80th birthday. I picked Tessilk Flowers based on the website. The girl who answered the phone was so helpful. I know my mom will love the arrangement. Thank you!
